Today’s surprise sequence of events suddenly finds me behind the counter of a Little League concession stand, helping wonderful volunteers to sell mostly junk food to families, raising valuable funds that go to help less fortunate families. I had a ton of fun in the process!
At least I got to sell a lot of waters too!
Though I’ll admit that my heart is on the side of ushering in the day when good, healthy food dominates concession stands, I also offer the “concession confession” that spending 5.5 hours interacting with Little League families last night was fun, Fun, FUN!!!!
These cute little girls made us the greatest of ballpark concession stand offers: “if we clean up the trash around here, can we pick out a piece of candy?”
How could we say no??
Once they cleaned up their end of the bargain, we gladly delivered the goods!
