All-star Director of Clark College’s Speech and Debate Team,Dave Leo Kosloski not only helped turn me into an effective public speaker, over the course of many years, Dave has been developing countless students into talented public speakers– both as head of Clark’s Speech & Debate Team, and through the many classes he teaches.
Years ago, I had the privilege of learning from Dave, his assistants, and his colleagues over the course of my two seasons on Clark’s Speech & Debate Team. Dave guided me and many others toward impressive oratory accolades then, and continues to steer his many students into outstanding speaking success today.
I’ve never witnessed any match for the amount of time and commitment Dave invests in his students– commitment which has translated into many long-lasting friendships. Dave frequently attends his students’ weddings and other important events. I’ve even found him helping a student and his family box up their house full of possessions to move to Arizona. Many students return to work with Dave and his newer students in an assistant coaching capacity.
We all earn and learn tremendously from our time on Clark’s Speech & Debate Team. Dave not only crafts us into successful speakers, he also prepares us for success with the many challenges of the world that awaits us beyond the classroom.
